    Windows not recognizing administrator


    Today I got on my laptop and it was running off so I went to reboot it. When I click the windows button in the corner and press the power it says, “There are currently no power options available.” So I thought that’s weird and I started looking around at other things. I tried to go to the task manager and it disappeared. When I used run cmd to get to it, it said it was disabled. A bunch of stuff is suddenly disabled and I’m unable to use it. It also wouldn’t open the settings. I ran two different virus/malware scans and nothing. It won’t let me boot into safe mode because of the issues. Furthermore, I’ve tried several things in order to verify and make me an administrator again. Such as using the cmd and Everything says I’m an administrator but it still isn’t working. I found a link (here) to someone who seems to be having the same issue. Any help is much appreciated

    Windows not recognizing ssd

    Windows won't see the drive until it has been partitioned and formatted. Go into "Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management" and see if it's listed in the middle pane.

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    As per the issue description you need to run an application in administrator mode even though you are logged in as administrator. Here are few steps which you may try to run an application in administrator mode always.

    Method 1

    If you are using any shortcut for opening or running the application then you may try the steps provided below.

    • Right-click the shortcut, click Properties.
    • Click Advanced. Select Run as Administrator.

    Method 2 (affects all shortcuts, and works on jump-lists and opening files with the application):

    • Go to the location of the executable.
    • Right click AppThatRequiresAdminRights.exe and select Troubleshoot Compatibility.
    • Select the option Troubleshoot program after the wizard has finished detecting issues.
    • Choose the The program requires additional permissions option. The wizard will apply the
      Run as Administrator setting to AppThatRequiresAdminRights.exe program.
    • Click (required) and close the wizard.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
