Windows 10: Windows not recognizing ps3 controller

Windows 10 doesn't detect ps3 controller on bluetooth, but works on usb, works with bluetooth on my laptop, but not desktop pc. I have tried to reset the ps3 controller and install various bluetooth drivers.I can connect any other bluetooth device, but not the ps3 controller.I have Realtek RTL8671B bluetooth usb dongle, maybe its incapable of detecting ps3 controllers?

Have you tried opening Device Manager and uninstalling the device that was previously connected to the PS3 controller?

Please try right-clicking on the PS3 controller name, selecting Uninstall Device (and selecting Uninstall Driver), and then reconnect the PC via USB cable to let it re-recognize the controller to see the effect.

In addition, please try changing a USB cable or using your PS3 controller on another computer to see if it works normally. These troubleshooting methods are also necessary.

Ps3 controller recognized as a speaker

Thanks for your feedback,According to my understanding, you use ScpToolkit to simulate the PS3 controller as an XBOX controller, and now it cannot work normally.



Since the PS3 controller does not support the use under Windows 10, it may be recognized as anything by Windows.

This may be caused by the fact that the ScpToolkit does not work properly.

You can reinstall the ScpToolkit and reconfigure your controller.

If the problem is not solved, you may need to seek the assistance of the software developer.

ps3 controller won't register as a device

I used to be able to connect my ps3 controller to my laptop and it would work fine. Now, not only does it not work, but when I go into "devices and printers," windows 10 doesn't even recognize the controller as one of my devices anymore; it instead lists
the ps3 controller in the "unspecified" category. I don't know what changed, maybe I accidentally messed around with something and screwed it up but I would really appreciate any help I tried everything. Thanks!
