  2. Overlap snapped Windows

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Community.

We understand your concern and we will provide the assistance required to help you resolve the issue.

As per the information that you have provided, I am led to believe that you wish to change the settings so that when you snap two Windows page, you will be able to overlap one over the other.

To do so follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Click on Start Menu, and click on Settings.

    2. Then navigate to System>Multitasking.

    3. Under this page you will find options to personalize your snap view.

    4. Turn the slider OFF for "when I resize snapped window..........window".

    Hope this helps

  3. Overlapping Snapped Windows

In Windows 8 (8.1), when you snapped an universal app to one of the sides, it would basically locked that section of the screen off. Any future application; even W32 app would only open in the remaining section of the screen. In Windows 10, that seems to
have be removed unless I am missing something? Sure, when you first snap a window and select another application, for example, Edge, it is fine; however, if you drag Edge around, it will now overlap that section. This was particularly useful in Windows 8,
as you could basically lock say the Mail Application to an edge and have the rest of the screen real estate to do as you pleased. No matter what you did, the locked Mail app could not be covered up by another application.

Am I missing something here? Can you actually locked a portion of the screen like you could in Windows 8 or is that feature gone with the wind?
