Windows 10: Windows not starting after freezing.

I have a Acer Nitro 5 laptop with Windows 10. I was using net through my phone's hotspot. I felt the brightness was low so I opened the Start menu. But as soon as I pressed it the complete task bar freezed so as the desktop but not the applications which were open (Chrome and Folder). Note that before opening the menu, I downloaded 2 things & I am pretty sure there are not virus as I have Anti-Virus software.


Then I clicked on the Desktop & the cursor turned into the blue loading icon. I thought it was going to work as this problem has happened to me before where when I click it, the desktop becomes normal. But instead a small dialogue box on top left appeared saying "Windows is not responding, you can End Process or wait" with two options 'End Process' and 'Cancel'.


I clicked on End Process & the screen turned blue with only the cursor. I waited a while then turned off manually by holding the power button. Then I started the pc up. First it showed the Acer icon with the circle dots as it shows usually during start up. But then it showed Preparing Automatic Repair below the dots & it stays for maybe 5 minutes. Then the screen goes black & in the blink of an eye, an empty window shows up and goes.


The Black screen stays for at least 10 minutes with a cursor which is bigger than the normal size. Then it switches back to Acer screen with the message 'Diagnosing your PC'. Then after 10 minutes, the automatic repair blue screen appears saying "your pc didn't start up correctly...". At the first try I restarted, but it didn't work. So I went on YouTube & tried out the Advance Options but none of them worked. Also note that even during Automatic Repair screen i have bigger cursor while wherever I look on the net, they have small normal ones.



It's been 2 days & it's still not fixed. Please help me. I know i made this big but I never found the solution to my exact problem so I felt I should write in detail.

Windows boots to the desktop then freezes

Yeah...I went to google and got the F8...lol*Stick Out Tongue ....thxxx

It boots up in safe mode and seems to work fine. Now I just need to figure out what's causing windows to freeze up befor it fully loads in normal start up operation.

Any suggestions where I might start ?

 

all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
