    Windows notification noise while PC is in sleep mode


    Within a few minutes of entering sleep mode, my PC begins making audible sounds used my windows for various notifications. It sounds like hardware is being added and removed over and over the entire time the PC is in sleep mode. The sounds are not continuous, as there are moments of silence between alerts, but the alerts continue for the duration.


    Since the PC is close to where I sleep, I have to mute my PC before turning in for the night.


    I have tried various solutions I've found on the web- to no avail. Disabling a USB setting- which I can't recall right now. The other solutions were less promising and equally inadequate.

    Windows notification noise while PC is in sleep mode

    Noise

    HP, Pavilion Desktop PC. model 590-p0050 Windows 10. The doink-doink noise is coming thru the speakers.

    It only occurs when the computer goes into sleep mode. Windows 10 doesn't have "control panel" listing.
