Windows 10: Windows notification window continually pops-up on lower right side of screen even though...

The status/notification window on the right side of my laptop screen continually pops-up despite many, many times queue definition of insanity going through the suggestions from various including Microsoft help sites. How do I disable it? Every time it pops up, my mouse jumps to the pop-up window disrupting what I am typing/working on. I have to physically click somewhere on the screen to get the window to go away and be able to continue what I was working on when the window appeared. The window popped up twice while I was typing the very short description above. It is incessant and I

How to stop Nero ads in lower right of screen

For about the last month I've been getting Nero ads that pop up in the lower right of the desktop, above the notification area.

I have NERO 2017 and have disabled or deleted Nero notifications and update (all that I could find including registry) but the pop ups still appear.

Is it Nero or is it something in Windows?

 

Pop-up adverts have suddenly started to come up on my computer screen again.

Okay, thanks, Dave. I have followed steps 1 & 2 first. So far, so good, and no pop-ups have come up yet.



Regarding the list of websites that I have allowed producing notifications, they are all fine and friendly apps that I use. However, nowhere on this list is McAfee or any of the other notifications that had originally popped up on the lower right-hand side of my computer screen. Where will these settings be so I can disable them?
