Windows 10: windows.old / windows10upgrade :(

Hi , i format my PC today full clean installation i select advanced option then full clear i delete partitions and format , then i notice right now in my PC disk C inside have two folder windows.old and windows10upgrade idk why ?? if i did full format is this normal ?? and when i go disk clean select C dont appear this folders , my previous windows before format is 10 , i format beacuse new video card and for a full clear instalation btw this is my 6 format on windows 10

any idea why this two folder are there ? or is normal to this folder come if you do a full format ?*Sad*Sad*Sad

How to remove files from unsuccessful Windows 10 Anniversary update

I successfully used the ISO to do the upgrade!

Now, to get rid of some files. Can I just move them to the Recycle Bin?

(C Windows.old (16.2 GB) and Windows10Upgrade (15.3MB)

(D Windows10Upgrade (2.88 GB)

 

Is it safe to delete Windows 10 upgrade folder?

One does have to wonder why one was informed by Microsoft Support to not manually remove Windows.old nor Windows10Upgrade.

I removed the Windows.old after Anniversary Update was installed on my system. I also uninstalled the Windows10Upgrade and then enjoyed having my computer not rebooting.

I was told the contents of Windows.old would be removed and it was, leaving just any empty Folder which I was told would remain and for me not to touch. Yesterday I noticed that has been removed also. I still am afraid to remove the Windows10Upgrade for
fear of the computer bursting into flames. Logically of course, uninstalling this should not hurt the system but being told my MS not to do that, I haven't.

ohh let me add , after the format i scan for windows update and then i update ALL , but after i see there no find the microfsoft update aniversary i click in the option to learn more then open a website and then download a program called windows 10 upgrade assistent and then this program install me the anniversary update , but this windows 10 upgrade assistent is who create this two folder ?? , idk why beacuse is not a upgrade from windows 7-8 to 10 is simple upgrade windows 10 to an uograde to anniverary , there no reason to create this two folder , btw the windows.old folder is about 8 gb or sometime the other is very small

 

The Anniversary Update is not a simple patch to your existing windows. It is a full install of a completely new version of Windows 10 called version 1607. You probably did a clean install of version 1511. The Upgrade assistant upgraded this to version 1607. That's why you have a Windows.old folder, your older version 1511 is kept there in case you want to go back to it. For 10 days after you installed the Anniversary update you will have the option to go back to the earlier one. This is in Settings > Update & security > Recovery. After 10 days the windows.old folder will be automatically deleted and the option to go back will be greyed-out and no longer available.
