  1. Windows on desktop for Task manager and Event viewer do not synchronize with mouse dragging...

I found funny thing on Windows 10 ver 2004.

The system utility windows on desktop for Task manager and Event viewer do not synchronize with mouse dragging operation that the window movement delays. Faster mouse movement can see it clearly. Other windows such as web browser, setting, device manager and so on synchronize with mouse movement.

This issue occurs on 2004 as I updated. I don't see it on prior versions of windows OSes.

    Do you have same issue?

    :)

    task viewer icon(virtual desktop)

I have the same problem. The task viewer icon was there but is now gone. I have gone through the steps you listed but no viewer. Then I created a new profile and the task viewer is there. Now, how do I get the task viewer back in my taskbar in my
    original profile??

    Hi Terry,

Are you facing any other issues with the start menu or the action center?

I would suggest you to try these steps and check if that fixes the issue:

    • Open an Administrator CMD window. If you can’t find a way, use these steps:
    • Press CTRL+Shift+ESC to open Task Manager.
    • Click File > Run New Task
    • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
    • Type CMD
    • Type the following commands at the CMD prompt:

      dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

      sfc /scannnow
If the above steps didn't help, then try creating a new user profile and check if the same behavior is noticed. This will help us determine if this issue is confined to your user profile. Try these steps and let us know the results.

    event viewer question

I do quite frequently on my server. A Dynamic DNS Updater application I wrote places Application event entries in there whenever it updates the DNS or fails to reach the DNS server. I also check it for Windows Time synchronization service and any warnings/errors that I can fix. On desktop computers, I only look at it if there is a problem.
