Windows 10: Windows One Drive hiljacks my photos

When I first got my laptop the pictures folder was the one under <user>/pictures but One Drive has made itself the object of the link and now I can't even get to my files or folders. All that shows up are because all that shows up is the panel on the left showing Documents, Downloads, Videos, etc. And using the "move location" doesn't work either,. THanks,

Hard drive/ OS issue

How do I move photos from the my photo app to the pictures folder on the C drive?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Open Photo App.
  
• 
  Select the photo and right click on the photo.
  
• 
  Select Open Folder.
  
• 
  From there you will be able to copy all the photos to C: drive

How do I get the edited photos from 10 Photos app to change on the hard drive?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check the behavior:

• Go to the folder in hard drive.
• Right click on the photo you want to edit.
• Click on Open with and select
  photos (To open that particular photo in Windows 10 photos app).
• Make some changes in the photo and click on
  save.
• Now go back to the folder and check the if you see the changes you made.
