Windows OS Edition displayed on MS Account Devices page

I have three devices displayed on my devices page on my MS Account. Two of them show the OS Edition as “Windows 10 Professional” while one shows it as “Windows Professional”. All three are “Version 2009” and all are Build 10.0.19045.xxxx”.Is “Windows Professional” different from “Windows 10 Professional”? If so, how? If not, why the display difference?

    :)

Microsoft Account Page under Device wrong OS Displayed

    Thanks Leonardo for your reply.

Unfortunately, I think I wasn't able to explain my question properly.

I have recently upgraded my OS from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro. I have a Dell G3 laptop.

Now after this upgrade, when I check the device details under Dell Support Assist or under control panel, I see it correctly as Windows 12 Pro. However when I try to see system details under Microsoft Store or under Microsoft account page (after login), it continues to show it as Windows 10 Pro.

To mitigate this issue, I have deleted the Windows 10 Pro details from the Microsoft account page and on the Microsoft Store Page and added the device again.

However to my utter frustration, the newly updated device details under both the above mentioned location continues to be displayed as Windows 10 Pro.

Would highly appreciate any suggestion to fix this issue.

    Kind Regards,

    Devices and MS product keys

Thanks for your response, but it does not answer the question. When logged in account.microsoft.com and switching between the Store and Account pages, on the Account page the Devices panel lists registered devices. These devices had to be added to the
account when Windows or other MS products were activated. Recently I came across a page of all devices, separately listed with the Windows Edition and Activation KEY and Office Edition and Activation Key. I have spoken with 4 different people within the MS
support community within the past 7 days, and none of them could validate my MS installations. I have around 14 installations over 7 devices. Everyone of the MS support people kept checking the Services & Subscriptions page to validate my subscriptions, which
    I have none.

Windows OS Edition displayed on MS Account Devices page

Win10 Pro - Digital Activiation - Not Linked to MS Account

I've been doing some more swapping of OS on one of my machines recently, and checking my MS Account to see how it's list of devices behaves. The key step you may have missed out is to sign in to your MS account once you have the OS up and running. You don't have to sign in to the PC with your MS account, just signing into an app like the Store is sufficient. Seems that a 'device' is defined by the hardware ID or serial number of the PC, not the name your Windows uses for it. On recognising that it's the same machine but with a different name the existing entry in 'My devices' gets updated rather than appearing twice as separate devices.
