Windows 10: Windows+P Shortcut Not Doing Anything

I've been having a lot of problems with the 22H2 update. First I'm getting strange lines on the left navigation panel where my shortcuts are, then I can't click network or sound on the taskbar because it does nothing, but now my most used feature isn't working anymore, which is Win+P to extend my monitor. When I press it now, it does nothing! I can't even open the EXE, as it does nothing.I've already run SFC and DISM, they did nothing.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

 

How do I add a shortcut to the Taskbar on Windows 10

As per the issue description you are unable to add a shortcut to the taskbar in Windows 10. You are right that there is no option to pin the shortcut to the taskbar. However, you should be able to drag and drop the shortcut to the taskbar. If you are unable
to do that try the steps provided below and see if it helps you to fix the issue.

• Open the network connection page by clicking on the shortcut.
• Once that page is open, you could see the same in the taskbar.
• Now, right click on the icon of network connection in the taskbar which is representing your shortcut.
• Select the option pin to the taskbar.
• Now the shortcut will be pinned to the taskbar.
