Windows 10: Windows password for system

I am forced to buy a new computer because the old one is dying. Can I use the same password, my Microsoft password, to log onto the new computer? How can I erase it from the old computer? Or can I simply throw the old computer away?


I'm afraid I'll get an error message "password is already used on another computer" when I try to use it on the new computer.
