Windows 10: Windows password login

So I have 2 desktop computers, both with local windows user accounts and both had no password, sometime in the past 48hours they have restarted and started asking for a password, I reset my Microsoft account password in case that had taken control of my computer but that wasn't it and shouldn't have been as Office is the only thing using my Microsoft account and not Windows. Anyway, Microsoft account password didn't work. But now I have 2 computers both asking for a password that I didn't set, oh yeah, both are on different networks as well, 1 house and 1 office.

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

No login password craziness

Brink, that was the missing step. What threw me off was in netplwiz, where it asks about password for my MS account, the user name was not the same as my MS account name. Once I entered the password (twice) I can now login without entering a password. In fact the name that was listed was not the MS account name, but a folder name. The folder is the one that shows when you click on C:\Users.
