Windows 10: windows password not matching correct microsoft account password. cant sign in to microsoft.

I have purchased a new computer, with windows 11, and have attempted to sign in to my microsoft account. I have correctly entered my microsoft account username and password. Then, another screen appears, which i have never seen before. It asks me to enter my 'windows password one last time.' Of course, i enter my microsoft account passwords, which should be the same, and it says that this is incorrect. There are no options for forgotten passwords or anything that i can interact with. I need to resolve this issue quickly so that i can get into my microsoft account. I have already tried resettin

If it's a Microsoft account, you should be able to change the password via another computer at live.com and the password should also change to match on the computer (obviously make sure it has internet access first). The password is verified online during login.

If so, that is what I have, my name, then a password.
Then it asks me for a Microsoft account and password.
No way I'm signing into windows with any kind of email account.
