    Windows Password not working in Diagnostic Repair


    Hi - Recently my PC is not working and it shows error “Critical Process has Died”.I am trying to do automatic repair to either restore or execute some advanced options.But the tool is asking me to provide my Windows Password to proceed with the Options.I am giving my Admin account password but it is not recognising it. I am not able to perform any actions without logging into the account.Any help and suggestions is much appreciated

    admin password?

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

    Windows Password not working in Diagnostic Repair

    Windows Startup password

    Is it possible to remove a startup password without being able to log into the system? A friend's laptop just prompt her today for a password that she never enabled. Now, she does have a standard user account password, but that doesn't work for the startup password. She had the computer for about a year now and it has never asked for a startup password until today.

    I tried to use Hiren Boot CD to run a diagnostic on the laptop, but it has a bsod. Windows 10 normal boot crashes as well
