    Windows Performance Recorder Report-Overheating CPU/High Fan usage


    Specific apps cause cpu to overheat and almost reach TJMAXNoxPlayer is the trigger, whether running idle or being used cpu overheats and fan stays at max.After closing nox, Sysmain or sometimes system processntoskrnl.exe r/w to disk and after a few seconds temperature and cpu fan reverts back to normal.A full description of problem via report+sensor info log provided by HWiNFO is included in following zipped file, Link below:https://privfile.com/download.php?fid=6134b78b23d01-OTg2Mw==

    Use of Windows Performance Recorder for tracking down high CPU usage.

    Hi. All day at times I've been plagued by high CPU usage, making Windows virtually unusable. svchost often seems to be the culprit, whenever high CPU usage appears. By the way, not an update problem today, I'm pretty sure.

    I even downloaded a program called LASSO thinking that might help.

    Well, right now CPU usage seems to be about 7 - 20% - it's varying. So, I guess right now I probably don't have a problem.

    However, is Windows Performance Recorder the most appropriate tool to psyche out high CPU usage problems? Thanks.

    Fake high CPU usage - High fan usage - Windows 10

    Another interesting finding which proves that this is more like a bug:

    In the "Power Options", if "High Performance" is chosen, CPU usage is still reasonable at 5% and fan speed is also down. The same goes for the "Power Saver" option.

    It is only the "Balanced" option that results in the explained high CPU utilization.

    The transition is instant; i.e. the moment it click on the "Balanced" radio button, the CPU utilization inside the TaskManager goes up from 5% to 100%.

    Windows 10 Display Blinking with High CPU

    After upgrade to Windows 10, experiencing flashing display and high CPU.

    • At initial logon screen everything is normal - wall paper and logon screen display with no blinking
    • After logon, fan starts as CPU usage spikes, cursor is accompanied by the spinning blue circle
    • touchscreen does not respond to swipe to access Recovery/Safe mode for reboot
    • able to get to Task Manager and Perfmon to see high CPU usage and explorer.exe is suspended
    looking for suggestions on how to either fix or roll back to Windows 8.1
