  1. Windows Photo Viewer

    Windows 10

I have downloaded 384 images from my Canon Camera into one folder. The Images are duplicated as raw CR2 and jpg files, so actually there are 192 different images. When I open the folder as I would expect I see 192 unviewable images with LRC over them, these are the raw files which I understand cannot be opened by Windows Photo Viewer WPV Immediately next to each raw image is a jpeg image which is visible, both the raw and jpeg image have the same file number. However, within the folder there are 25 random jpeg images that are not visible. Error message - WPV can't open this picture because you don't have the correct permission to access the file location. ?? Obviously I have the permission as it has opened 167 of them !!

This occurs in some other folders but not all. I do not understand the logic . Thank you for your help in anticipation.

    :)

    Replacement for photo viewer

    Win ver 19041.388

Just do not like this "new" photo viewer, it is just cumbersome to operate, lot of extra steps etc. I like the older Win photo viewer, however since JPG files are saved as "unhandled Extension handler finder", *Confused I need something else. Appreciate any suggestions that is not overly optioned, just a simple viewer. Tx

How to get rid of raw file support in windows photo viewer?

    Windows Photo Viewer [IMG]

I have downloaded this, and it did not work; photo viewer is not in the list of programs in Open With or Default App. I used option 2 step 3, followed by step 5 to 9.

    Replacement for photo viewer

I just use the Photos app for a quick view, otherwise I use Adobe Lightroom to view and edit photos.
