Windows 10: windows photos app - it sorts from the wrong date property

Hi, i recently used google takeout to download my google photos. I saved them in pictures and they succesfully showed up in the photos app. But they are not sorted. In order to be sorted i want it to use the "media created" date from "Details" when you click properties. They all have json files, and it would also be sorted if the windows photos app used this instead."photoTakenTime": { "timestamp": "1542563894", "formatted": "18. nov. 2018 17.58.14 UTC" },Is there anyone who can help?

Windows 10 - Photo app wrong dates

We appreciate the details you have provided. To resolve your concern, kindly follow these steps to edit the date of the pictures:

• Right-click the file and select Properties.
• In the image properties, click on the Details tab.
• Change the Date Taken, Click Apply and OK. Refresh your photos if you able to modify the date.

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to sort your pictures in the way you want them. Kindly take note that the only options to sort your photos in Photo Gallery are the following:

• Date taken
• Date modified
• File size
• Image size
• Rating
• Caption
• File name

Also I suggest follow the below steps.

Press ALT + W + K, one after other & check if the photos are shown in the order they were taken.

Thanks for your response, but that doesn't seem to do anything in the Photos app I am running under Windows 10.

You mentioned Photo Gallery so I think you may be talking about a different application than the one I am using..
