Windows 10: Windows Photos asking me "to see work results, please verify your account"

So today when I tried to open the Windows Photos app, it came up with: "to see work results, please verify your account".I want Microsoft to understand something here. I am NOT using One Drive cloud storage. I am storing Photos files on my local hard drive. So I don't want or need any App to be asking me to verify my account. I don't want or need One Drive complaining that I am out of space. When I want to use cloud facilities then - sure - I might expect to login. Otherwise not - other than providing an access pin when Windows starts up.The old Windows photos just worked and did not mess a

Hi Jose,

I followed your suggested steps but the same thing still happens when I complete the out of the box experience setup.

By the way, the only reason the device was even in the device list was because (as a troubleshooting step) I tried creating a local account and then connecting to my work account to verify that the windows install was working properly. So I'm not surprised I still got the same result

Method 1:

I would suggest you to run the Microsoft Account Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Method 2:

I would suggest you to switch your Microsoft account to a Local account first and then switch back to Microsoft account and see if this helps in resolving the issue.

Please refer to the following steps:

From Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on Start and select Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now you can see Sign in with a Local account instead click on it.
• Follow the onscreen instructions by entering the password.

Local account to Microsoft account:

• Now login with Local account.
• Click on Start and select Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now you can see Sign in with a Microsoft account instead click on it.
• On next pop up enter your Microsoft account ID and password and follow the onscreen instructions.
