    Windows Photos file system error (-2147219196) after forced Microsoft update


    Hello,


    On 7/18 Microsoft forced an update on my computer --- KB4338819 (OS Build 17134.165).

    Since that time the Photos application has stopped working and generates a

    file system error (-2147219196) about two seconds after it starts


    I have read many postings / threads on this topic and tried various solutions - none of which worked

    installed latest Intel graphics driver

    removed Photos using powershell and reinstall from the store

    ran Windows Store app troubleshooter --- no problems found

    ran wsreset --- goes to a black screen for a while, and then to the store, but gives no diagnostic info

    ran SFC /Scannow --- no errors found

    ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth --- operation completed successfully

    reset the application

    repaired the application


    The following entries are created in the event log when Photos crashes:

    1) Faulting application name: Microsoft.Photos.exe, version: 2018.18051.17710.0, time stamp: 0x5b4c53ea
    Faulting module name: Windows.UI.Xaml.dll, version: 10.0.17134.81, time stamp: 0x4f4899f8
    Exception code: 0xc000027b
    Fault offset: 0x00000000006a4e02

    Response: Not available

    File System Error (-2147219196).

    I just started getting this error File System Error (-2147219196). when trying to open photos?

    I've tried restarting and resetting the windows photo app but still isn't working.

    How do I fix?

    I can't open any of my photos nor can I open my calculator. The message I receive is "File System Error (-2147219196)"

    Also Calculator will not open
