Windows 10: Windows Power Shell high ram usage

Hey Guys^^, i have my Pc since 2019, but this is not normal. PowerShell is using 60% Ram and i cant do anything.pls help

Powershell sudden high ram usage

In the last week I have noticed sudden power shell windows appearing for a moment and then my laptop begins to be slow and laggy, I remember installing some vpn programs but then I uninstalled them all, but still has these PowerShell blinking and high ram, disk, CPU usage.

 

High Ram Usage

Hi there,

So this is the problem, From the time I bought this brand new IdeaPad Flex 5 (itlo5) 14" laptop, there has always been high ram usage when I look in task manager. The ram usage has always been around 80%. I have tried to clean install windows (which removes all bloatware from the manufacturer) but there is still high ram usage. My old HP laptop had the same amount of ram as this laptop (4GB) but the speed of the ram was slower. And the ram usage had been lower than this laptop!

High CPU Usage w/ Any Program

Yes, ill get a screen shot in safe mode a little later today.

As for those links, thanks you for the suggestion but I had ran down those lists of fixes even though that process has not been present since the user sent the screen shot to me. When they sent the screen shot, the user states they had been viewing pics on the network. Anything running like AutoCAD, MS Teams, Adobe Acrobat DC seems to kick it overly high.

Its not loud and its not hot and its not slow... lol WHY!?!?

I think I have found a fix. The PC had been in Performance mode w/ sleep set to "never" originally and I had reset that power option back to default settings. It was no better and other power options like balanced or power saver set back to default also had not help.

Though I had already done this before, I set the PC to Performance mode and reset it to default setting again and then set sleep to "never" and it seems to be fine now. I don't think setting sleep to "never" is apart of it but changing the power settings again seemed to do it.
