    Windows PowerShell keeps forcing me to desktop


    For the past week or so PowerShell, seemingly randomly opens itself for about a second and then closes again forcing me out of whatever application I have running and to the desktop. It also seems to close all of my Google Chrome tabs that I have open and then relaunch them to blank windows. This is extremely irritating and causes me to close out of videos, media or games that I am running. I have tried the following fixes with no success:-Disabling PowerShell via the command prompt-Updating windows and its drivers-Re-installing a fresh version of Windows 10 If anyone has any suggestions it wo

    Windows Powershell auto opens when booting up

    Hi Victor,

    To stop Windows Powershell to start whenever you boot up your laptop, we suggest you to follow the steps listed below for selecting the services you want to run at startup:

    • Search System Configurationfrom the taskbar.
    • Select the top result, System Configuration desktop app.
    • Go to the Startup tab on the System Configuration main window.
    • Uncheck the box next to Windows Powershell program.
    • Click OK.
    • Click Restart to restart your computer.

    PowerShell instead of Commandline in Creators Update

    Interestingly enough my personal laptop just got the update...and still has Command Prompt listed, not PowerShell...

    Edit: Not that it matters...I use both regularly. *Toast :toast:
