Windows Powershell keeps popping up during startup

Hello my name is Floyd. So I have this issue where everytime I start up my computer, Windows Powershell keeps popping up on the taskbar. The current issue right now is that it pops up via Command prompt because I deleted the Windows Powershell exe files. I have attached the image below. I have tried various troubleshooting methods to fix the problem such as the one in this link: https://www.itechguides.com/why-does-powershell-open-on-startup/but nothing has fixed the issue. I have gone through different softwares to help like cc cleaner or malawarebytes or rouge killer, but still no luck. I f

    Powershell pops up at startup

Powershell window pops up on startup and has to be removed via task manager or timeout. It's disabled in the start menu and I cannot delete it. Some posts suggest this indicates a malware infection, but all scans are negative.

    Windows powershell randomly popping up.

Thank you for the update. Just to confirm, is Windows PowerShell shows up when turning on your device? If so, this could be due to creating a shortcut on startup folder. To know the list of items that runs when Windows started, we suggest that you check
it in Task Manager > Startup. Check if Windows PowerShell is listed and enabled.

We would appreciate if you will send us a screenshot showing the startup tab on your Task manager to better assist you.

We look forward to your reply.

Windows PowerShell opens up at Startup

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. Let me assist you.

Windows PowerShell might be one of the Startup programs on your computer. All the Startup programs are launched at Startup by Windows. I suggest you to check if the
Windows PowerShell program is enabled on the Startup. To check the Startup programs press
Ctrl + Shift + Esc Keys together and open Task Manager. Go to the
Startup tab and check if Windows PowerShell is listed. If it is listed under the Startup programs, select it and click on
Disable. Further restart the computer to check if the issue persists.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you.
