Windows 10: Windows PowerShell - Process exited with code 5 0x00000005

Hello,We are seeing many different machines Windows 10 and Windows 11 that are facing issues with Windows PowerShellWhen someone tries to launch Windows PowerShell, the console opens to [Process exited with code 5 0x00000005]:After further inspection of Event Viewer, many Engine Health errors occur wit "Settings: illegal characters in path"Has anyone come across this issue before?This is causing many downstream issues such as apps failing to install via intune.This only happens with Powershell 5, PowerShell 7 works fine.Kind Regards,Dean

The 0x00000005 error code means that you are being denied access to the Store.

For us to isolate your concern when accessing the Store, please provide the following information:

• What is the make and model of your phone?
• Which version of Windows Mobile operating system is your phone running on? Include the build version.
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to resolve the issue?

Powershell exits with code 2 (0x00000002)

For a couple of days, the built-in Powershell on my Windows 11 (21H2) hasn't been working at all. Whenever I launch Powershell in any way, normal, as admin, other stuff like Developer PS for VS 2022, it always exits with code 2 immediately and there is nothing I can do about it:





What I have tried:

• repairing with SFC
  
• repairing with DISM
  
• PS 7 (works fine but since PS 5 is the default Powershell, I cannot run stuff like Developer PS Console for Visual Studio)
  

Edit: Powershell ISE works fine

Edit 2: Joining the Insider Preview and installing the new build of Windows 11 has fixed the issue

• Which build and version of Windows are you running on your computer?

To check, press Windows key + R > type winver
> hit Enter.

• Have you tried downloading other games from Windows Store aside from Cuphead? If yes, what was the result?
