    Windows Prevents Me from Installing Radeon Driver Update



    I'm trying to download the new driver update for Radeon GPUs version 20.9.2 but I keep getting this message: Extract: Error writing to file amdcx32.dll

    I need this update to run the new Star Wars Squadrons game but it won't let me install it.

    Windows 7 wont install drivers

    i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
    Step 1
    reinstall windows from scratch
    Step 2
    install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
    Step 3
    update windows
    Step 4
    install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
    Step 5
    Install GPU drivers
    Step 6
    go back to using your pc without issue.

    If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage

    How can I prevent Windows update from installing the AMD Radeon HD 7520G driver?

    On Windows 10, my AMD Radeon HD 7520G works well with the driver suggested by AMD, which is 15.7.1 or 15.200.1062.1004 from 2015.

    Windows update installs version 16.40.2301 dated 3-8-2018, which fails to load after boot. and causes certain applications to run slow

    How do I prevent Update from installing the 2018 driver?
