    Windows Push Notification User Service stopped working


    Constant critical event in Reliability Monitor. Seems to happen at boot. Anyone have any solutions?

    Serious issue in WP's push notifications

    Hi,



    The issue is not just with Whatsapp. WhatsApp and Viber were working till today. Suddenly, push notifications stopped working. I think this issues is only with web based push notifications as i receive notifications for normal SMS.



    Please check this issue on priority because if this is issue with Microsoft push notifications servers, it will affect all the wp users. I have also noticed complaints about notifications in windows market place.



    Please correct me if i am wrong.

    I am using Windows 10 insider preview for PC ( Spring Creators Update, Redstone 4 Version 1803 Build 17128 )

    I fixed this issue without upgrading to 17133 Build, by restarting WpnUserService_(XXXX) and clicking Services (Local) after opening Services. Actually the service was stopped then below is the fix for this issue.

    FIX : Open cmd as an admin and enter the following commands :

    1. sc config WpnUserService start= auto

    2. sc start WpnUserService
    3. Close the command window and restart the computer.

    VOILA ! Now the Windows Push Notification User Service was Started Windows Push Notification User Service stopped working :)

    And FINALLY Focus assist is now Working Fine Windows Push Notification User Service stopped working :)

    I've done anything and everything you can...sfc...dism...reset the store, etc.....even going back to Oct 17th (FCU) with a full disk image.

    About 2 min after boot from a full shutdown, it keeps showing up. Started about a month ago. Some posts say its from windows update, others the store. I'm perplexed!

    Appreciate the feedback though JD
