Windows 10: Windows Randomly Alphabetizing My Desktop Icons

Title basically covers it, but I'm an inept googler and can't find the answer, so maybe internet strangers can help.

Roughly once every two weeks, at random, on launching my PC at the start of the day, all of my desktop icons are MYSTERIOUSLY SORTED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER. This is not -my- order. My order is random and chaotic, sure, but it's -MINE- and my muscle memory is VERY FOND OF IT. So once every two weeks I have to continuously open the wrong fucking programs over and over again, slowly fixing the arrangement over time, since the only way my brain can remember where something should go is to click on the spot my muscle memory searches for. By the time it's all back to normal, Windows has itself another 'WHOOPSIE LET'S PUT THEM ALL BACK IN A-Z' day and the road goes ever on and buggerdly on.

It happens on random days, always when I start the PC, for no discernable reason. I do not have 'auto-arrange icons' turned on.

If I can't fix it, I'll retrain the muscle memory to work with alphabetical, but I'd MUCH RATHER press a magic button that makes Windows stop being awful. ALTERNATIVELY, can I like... save my layout? Somehow? So I can recall it whenever Windows decides that I can go fuck a cactus?

Tl;dr - Is there anything I can do to stop Windows from arbitrarily turning into an overbearing mother every once in a while and 'cleaning my room' uninvited?

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
