Windows 10: Windows randomly alt tabbing when using Xbox Elite 2 controller

Alt tabbing at random intervals when using an Xbox Elite controller. I have tried disconnected my keyboard and mouse, shutting steam down, changing controller settings in steam and the Xbox app, updating the controller, checking task scheduler, updating windows, updating drivers, shutting down all non-essential programs, but nothing's helped so far. Its at random intervals and occurs with and without any input from the controller.It occurs when playing any game at any resolution/aspect ratio, using Epic games, Ubisoft, and Steam.I'm running Windows 11 23H2, Ryzen 5600X, RX 6700XT.

Xbox Elite controller cannot connect on Windows 10 (bluetooth)

Thanks for the suggestions.

Unfortunately, all of these are about disconnect issue. My problem is that it doesn't even see the controller when trying to pair.

However, I tried with me Elite 2 - and bingo, that one works flawlessly (no disconnect issues for me).

So what I have is that

• original controller - works
  
• Elite 2 controller - works
  
• Elite controller - does NOT work
  

I ended up using my 'Elite 2' on PC and my 'Elite' for my Xbox

 

Xbox Elite controller cannot connect on Windows 10 (bluetooth)

I'm not able to connect my XBox Elite Controller to Windows 10 through blue tooth.

There is no problem with the regular Xbox controller, it finds and pairs immediately.

The controller is updated.

I have tried all the steps / suggestions I can find - but the controller still does not show in blue tooth. (I tried 'show invisible' in device manager, but it doesn't show there).

Of course the controller works, no problem paring on my xbox.

Any suggestions what to try next ?
