Windows 10: Windows randomly freezes for a few sec

I have a Dell R10 and after updating which it won't do anymore, yay Windows Update it just began randomly freezing. I've been going through various solutions and never found anything.

But then, I had to get rid of my old KB and decided to use the one packaged with the machine. It feels like one of those awful apple ones, all the keys are squished together and it's flat as a pancake... but ever since I switched, the freezing stopped.

I had to make a new post because the others no longer allow replies.

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
