Windows 10: Windows Randomly Freezing

Over the last couple weeks, my pc has started randomly freezing. Some things still work.

For example I can sometimes open task manager and windows settings but all windows settings pages are blank.

I try to open chrome but just a white screen comes up and things move very slowly.

All my iCue lights freeze and wallpaper engine wallpaper freezes.

The only way I can fix it is to hold down the power button to force shut down and then turning pc back on again.

I have tried checking for windows update running Sfc /scannow in command prompt

It is difficult to see if some solutions work as pc runs fine for anywhere between a few hours and a few days.

Thanks for any suggestions. Would prefer to not do a fresh windows install

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

• Are there any third party applications that are currently installed?
