Windows 10: Windows Recovery Failing (win10)

Hi, I am trying here after scouring google for a similar failure.



This all started with my HP OMEN 15 (15-ce019dx) getting windows start failure after not using for several weeks. There was a Bad System Config Info failure. After much googling I decided to try a Windows recovery flash drive and was not able to initiate the recovery after launching the USB. So then I tried the HP Cloud Recovery tool loaded onto a flash drive which i actually had much better luck with. I got all the way through the reinstall (full clean wipe) and could even see a windows desktop at one point but at the end I am still getting a windows recovery failure. I saved the logs to usb but there are WAY more than i know how to navigate. Here is what I thought would be most useful.

allfailure.log :

then pulled from PASS3_PROC.log I see the following failure:

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

 

Data Recovery for Mac (OSX Capitan) ?

Anybody knows of a good data recovery software for mac? Preferably free?

I use Active@ Data Recovery for Windows, but honestly no idea what to use for Mac OSX.

Any suggestions?
