Windows 10: Windows restart deletes new icons on task bar and reverts to default

Whenever windows 10 restarts it removes my added icons from the task bar (windows office, windows live mail, virus program and malware program. For windows live mail it is still on the list of programs but I have to reload the program and put in new POP and SMTP info. My emails than reload but all my contacts, saved and sent emails, and safe sites have been erased. The virus and malware programs are still on my screen and functioning. Just need to add them back to task bar. All my windows office files are there. All of my favorite sites on Edge have disappeared and I have to add them again. All of my saved passwords have also disappeared. I have tried everything on the community site but have been unable to fix the problem. Any new ideas. Thanks. John

If the icon is hidden from the task bar, you can enable it by using the following steps. The icon might be hidden. Here's how to show the battery icon:

• Right-click an empty area on the taskbar, and then click
  Properties.
• Under Notification area, click
  Customize.
• In Notification Area Icons, click on Select
  which icons appear on Taskbar.
• On in the drop-down list next to
  Power, and then click OK.

If the issue still persists you can try Updating the latest Power management driver software for Windows 10 from the manufacturer website.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. I suggest you to terminate explorer.exe and then restart it. To do so, follow these steps:

• 
  Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and click on
  task manager.
  
• 
  Locate Windows Explorer and right click on it to
  end task.
  
• 
  If the explorer.exe is already terminated, then click on
  File and select new task.
  
• 
  Type explorer.exe and start
  the task.
  
• 
  This should make the Windows screen to return as normal.

Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?
