Windows 10: Windows restore from image won't boot

Discus and support Windows restore from image won't boot in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I have tried to restore my PC running Windows 10H2 from an image made through windows backup.     Windows restore from image won't boot


    I have tried to restore my PC running Windows 10H2 from an image made through windows backup. After the restore the pc won't boot. It just does an automatic repair an fails. It fails to boot into safe mode and I can the only get to the recovery console. I have tried scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\Windows" in CMD prompt but all I get is "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service." I have started the trustedinstaller service. I have also tried to run DISM /image:c: /cleanup-image /restorehealth /source:ESD:g:\sources\install.esd:6 /limitaccess but it has failed to run also.


    What can I do?

    Please HELP

    Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


    In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
    I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.

    Windows restore from image won't boot

    PC Won't Boot After Install and Restart

    I was able to clear CMOS by taking out the battery and then putting it in after 5 min. That helped and i was able to boot, i got some kind of a checksum error and was given a choice to restore to last known good configuration or to default, i chose option number 1 and was able to boot into Windows, however after i restarted the PC i was back to square 1 where system wouldn't boot as before.

    What do i do now? Clear CMOS again and attempt to boot into Windows do a system restore and uninstall that program that may have been the cause of this problem? Any suggestions?
