Windows 10: Windows Sandbox error 0x80041002 - failed to start

Hi,

Out of the blue, my the Windows Sandbox feature stopped to work.

Every time I try to start, I get the error 0x80041002 and the message: Windows Sandbox failed to start.

Tried a lot of things to solve the issue as: Googling, restarting windows, removing and adding Sandbox features, disabling and enabling virtualization in BIOS...

Nothing solved, my next option is to reset the Windows, but I'm running from this option.

Any ideas or tips? Thanks

Fix for Sandbox

Microsoft has acknowledged this issue now:

Windows Sandbox may fail to start with error code “0x80070002”Windows Sandbox may fail to start with "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (0x80070002)" on devices in which the operating system language is changed during the update process when installing Windows 10, version 1903.


Affected platforms:

• Client: Windows 10, version 1903

Next steps: We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available in late June.

I would suggest you to wait until the next cumulative update.

Windows Sandbox seems fragile on 1903 for a bunch of reasons; mine won't start with a different error code.

Feedback Hub reports for "Windows Sandbox won't start" mention about 25 different error codes experienced.
