Fix for Sandbox

Microsoft has acknowledged this issue now:

Windows Sandbox may fail to start with error code “0x80070002”Windows Sandbox may fail to start with "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (0x80070002)" on devices in which the operating system language is changed during the update process when installing Windows 10, version 1903.


Affected platforms:

• Client: Windows 10, version 1903

Next steps: We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available in late June.

Windows Sandbox Error 0x80070005 Access Denied

After searching online for hopeful fixs and trying various selected suggestions e.g. disable/reenable Optional Features, Permissions etc , Sandbox continues to display "Windows Sandbox failed to initialize". What is really annoying, it did work before but now after several monthly Patch Tuesday installs, bam it's broken. On a side note the Feedback Hub "Sign "In button does not respond to either a Mouse click or a Return. Tried Uninstall and Reinstall via Microsoft Store. Gave up!!!

Back to Sandbox. Decided to debug the problem by opening a VS2022 Windows Sandbox Project. There are 3 Access Denied outputs, 3 Unspecified errors, 2 Loader cache doesn't have a loaded MUI entry and The data area passed to a system call is too small. Any ideas as to why?

In addition the Hyper-V Time Synchronization Service fails to start because it has a dependency of Microsoft Hyper-V Guest Infrastructure Driver (vmgid) as registered within the Registry but then unable to locate this service in the Task Manager Services Window.

So the question once again is why do patches applied to W11 break previously working applications as evident in the debug output provided by VS2022. Please refer to the attached images.

I am hopeful that this problem can eventually be resolved and also help other users experencing problems launching a virtual W11 Sandbox environment.
