Windows 10: Windows Sandbox failed to start. Error 0x80070015 and 0x80070057.

Windows Developer tried to help me on Twitter but finally told me to try asking this in the community, so here I am.


Since the release of Windows Sandbox, I'm unable to use it. I've tried everything with no luck:

• Disabling/enabling it from 'Turn Windows features on or off'
• Restarting services
• Disabling/enabling virtualization in BIOS
• Restoring defaults in BIOS
• Changing Windows display language to English.
• Using Windows Sandbox Editor from TechNet.

More details:

• Windows is up-to-date.
• BIOS is up-to-date.
• Virtualization is Enabled.
• Hyper-V is enabled.
• My CPU supports SLAT (AMD FX 8350).

Windows Sandbox may fail to start with "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (0x80070002)" on devices in which the operating system language is changed during the update process when installing Windows 10, version 1903.

Affected platforms:

Client: Windows 10, version 1903

Next steps: We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available in late June.

Windows Sandbox error 0x80070015

Hello guys,

I want to run the Windows 10 Sandbox but I get error 0x80070015. I understand that all four Hyper-V requirements in Systeminfo shoud be answered with a yes. I get the follow remark:

Hyper-V Requirements: A hypervisor has been detected. Features required for Hyper-V will not be displayed.

I am not running this Windows 10 virtually and I'm pretty sure this is the reason Sandbox doesn't run. Can anyone help me with this?

Windows Update fails with Error 0x80070015

Ok, thank you folks for your replies.

Delivery Optimization is off and those registry keys don't exist.
I downloaded Windows Repair 2018 from tweaking.com. I'm not sure I have the right tool.
Item #17 is Repair CD/DVD missing/not working.
Item #26 is Set Windows Services to default Startup.
Were those item numbers the exact items you want me to run or just random numbers off the top of your head? Also, does that need to run in safe mode as the program tells you when it starts up?
The Windows Update MiniTool failed to install updates with the same error. (0x80070015)
There was a different error listed on the overall updated Failed list. 0x80240022)
