Windows 10: Windows Saying Ethernet is not Connected Despite Being Able to Use the Internet

Recently I just built a pc with an ASUS mobo. I got a new m.2 and decided to do a fresh download. Upon booting up Armoury Crate downloaded. The software was nothing but problems. It kept interfering with icue and when I went to download drivers, some of them would crash the program. On one boot up I noticed the Ethernet wasn’t showing as connected. I realized this when I wanted to download something and it said Windows needs to be connected but I was perfectly using the Ethernet. I’ve tried troubleshooting with no success and device manager shows everything working fine. I’ve decided to check Armoury Crate if there was any driver updates. To my avail it won’t even launch so I know that’s what’s causing it. I got so feed up I removed it and disabled it from the bios. Then after I put in my password the screen would turn black only showing the mouse. I decided to redownload windows and start downloading my apps again. Everything was working fine until I booted up my old sata ssd which had Armoury Crate downloaded (I booted up from the sata first to see if everything was working on my build and it downloaded). Once I logged back on on to my new one, Armoury Crate screwed over my rgb settings and now I’m having the same issues with the Ethernet. I don’t want to have to redownload my apps a third time. What Should I do? Also f*** Armoury Crate

Windows 10 apps not working on the Ethernet Windows 10 VPN internet connection

In order to assist you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, please let us know:

• Does this issue occur only with Microsoft apps?
  
• Are you able to browse any website while connected to internet?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

As you have mentioned that you are connected to internet with Ethernet via Windows VPN, I would suggest you try disconnecting VPN and see if you are able to access the applications.

Windows 10 and internet connection

Apologies for the late reply.



Since you are able to connect to the internet wirelessly it is just the wires connection which has issues.

It could be either wire which has problems or Ethernet port.

Before you change either of these I suggest you to try the following steps:

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter.

a. In search Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the search box and hit Enter.

c. Select “View all” option from the left panel.

d. Select “Internet Connections” from the list and follow On-screen instructions.

Computer says not connected to Internet even after connected to Internet

I understand that applications show that you are not connected to Internet. I’ll certainly help you with this issue.



However, please let us know:

• How is the computer connected to Internet i.e. Ethernet or Wi-Fi?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made on the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

I would suggest you to try changing the network connection i.e. if the computer is connected to Internet through Wi-Fi, try using Ethernet and check if that helps.
