Windows 10: Windows Scan will not install on W10

I have W10, v. 1809 on my laptop, all up to date. My HP All-in-One is installed, and printing works fine. The scanner appears in the drop-down list under 'Manage your devices'. But I cannot scan. On a previous version of W10 you just typed 'scan' in the search box and a scan app appeared. Now there is nothing. In Windows Store there is the Windows Scan app. The info on this says it is for W8.1 (minimum requirement), but all I get when I try to install is an error message (code: 0x80072F8F). This happened yesterday and again today, after a restart.


So can someone help, please - how can I scan? All suggestions gratefully received, and thanks in advance.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Wait, but have you done the whole step-by-step guide described in the OP? DDL/DTS isn't supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 either, unless if you do the steps listed there.

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
Step 1
reinstall windows from scratch
Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
Step 3
update windows
Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
Step 5
Install GPU drivers
Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.
