Windows 10: Windows screen randomly going one colour

Hi,In the past few months I have run into a problem where my screen will randomly go the colour of whatever window is open. For example if im on onenote and my cursor is on the white page, it will go fully white. If i go to try access task manager it will go blue. To carry on using my laptop I need to put it to sleep and start it up again. Volume still plays in the background so it hasn't crashed.Recently I have been using onenote to take notes and used the Windows + shift + S to take screenshots of slides.I have got a Ryzen 5 3500 U and mainly seem to encounter this when taking notes. Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.

• Did you make any changes prior to this issue?

I suggest you to update the graphic card drivers by following the steps provided below and check for status.

  Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.
