Windows screens randomly changing and mouse going off page

This problem is intermittant, meaning days, weeks will go by without it happening - but when it happens, it's constant and annoying for hours or days.

My computer acts like someone else is moving and opening things. The different windows will randomly change whether I am actively typing or it's just sitting open and I'm not touching it at all. One common thing is that I will be typing or looking something up and the Spotify screen will appear in front of me. I will close it completely and it reopens by itself. It has randomly opened Word and Excel, even though I don't have a document open, and it will pop up my email or QuickBooks file on it's own when I'm working on something else.

There are times when I'm typing or scrolling through a document and my mouse will suddenly jump off the page and I have to bring it back. It will go to the right of the screen where I can't even see it. I will be scrolling down a document and it's like it

gets stuck in one place and will move the whole page, but not where I am trying to select.

I thought I might have a virus, but I have run multiple scans and nothing is found. I have closed out everything and shut down completely, and it continues to happen.

I'm out of ideas and I would appreciate any input that may help me resolve the problem.

    Thank you!

    :)

Windows 8.1 update changed the language, can't change back

Maybe, these will help... it seems it is a common enough problem.

Language packs are no longer available after you upgrade to Windows 8.1

And, sort of the same here --> Add a language or keyboard

Quote from above MS web page:

Spoiler Download and install language packs
You'll need to download the language pack if you want to make a language your Windows display language (that's the language you see most often in Windows and apps).
    • Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
    • Tap or click Time and language, and then tap or click Region and language.
    • Tap or click a language that says Language pack available underneath, and then tap or click Options.
    • Tap or click Download. The download process might take a while, depending on your PC and the size of the language pack.
If you want to make this your display language, see the next section "Change your Windows display language".
    Change your Windows display language
To change your Windows display language (that's the language you see most often in Windows and apps), first add a language, download and install the language pack, and then follow these steps.
    • Tap or click the language that you want to set as your display language.
    • Tap or click Set as primary to move the language to the top of the list. If the language can become your Windows display language, you'll see Will be display language after next sign-in appear under the language.
    • Sign out and then sign back in to finish.
And here is some more info --> Add Language Packs to Windows

Mouse started double clicking on single click file randomly.

    Hi KathZ,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

    • Which version of Windows you are using? (To check, type: winver in start menu and hit enter.)
    • Does this issue occur on a different mouse?

This issue happens, if there is mouse/hardware issue or it can be settings issue. I would suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps as mentioned below:

    Method 1: Restore the defaults.

    1. Press Windows
and E key together on your Keyboard.
    2. Go to View tab on the top.
    3. Click on Options > Click on Change folder and Search options.
    4. Click on Restore Defaults.
      Click on Apply and Ok.

Method 2: Change the Mouse settings.

    1. Click on the Settings icon from the start menu.
    2. Click on Devices > Click on Mouse from the left panel of the window.
    3. Click on Additional Mouse Options from the right pane.
    4. This will open the Mouse Properties window, go to Buttons tab.
    5. Under the Double click speed, drag the slider to the left to slow down the double click speed.
    6. Next, go to Pointer options tab, uncheck the "Enhance Pointer Precision" to
disable pointer precision to slow down the mouse.

For more information, I would suggest you to follow the
    steps
provided in the post on 'Windows 10 mouse has started double clicking on single click randomly'.

    Hope it helps.

Let us know if you got the help you needed by clicking Yes or No.

  4. Windows screens randomly changing and mouse going off page

Mouse cursor blinking randomly, moves to bottom left of screen on occasion.

I'm using Windows and suddenly my mouse pointer is blinking randomly. It also on occasion moves to the bottom left of my screen with strange circles near it and will not move at all then. The only thing I have done lately is click on and follow a message
at the bottom right of my screen that something in Windows needs to be fixed, but that link did not ask me to make any changes and only led me to sign in to Microsoft.
