Windows 10: Windows screensaver disabled after lock screen slideshow is enabled.

Many people seem to be having this issue yet it is still not resolved and there is no explanation to why this happens... I enabled a lock screen slideshow and it disabled my screensaver. I enabled my screensaver and it disabled my lock screen slideshow. I have know idea why this happens. I just want to be able to have my lock screen slideshow when my pc is locked, and I want to have my screensaver when my pc goes to sleep after 5 min.

From the description provided, I understand that the Screensaver feature does not work in Lock screen.

Please be informed that the Lock screen feature in Windows 10 has a separate settings to display the pictures/ slideshow.

To do so, follow the below steps.

• Open Settings, click/tap on the Personalization icon.
• Click/tap on Lock screen on the left side. Enable the slideshow
  option, click or tap the Background drop-down menu and then choose
  Slideshow.

Can't enable both Lockscreen slideshow and Screensaver slideshow at the same time

I recently wanted to test Lockscreen slideshow functionality.

I set it up within the Windows settings (in Personalization menu), and when I tested it, nothing really changed.

However, I noticed that the Screensaver wasn't enabled anymore.

After a quick search on internet, I tried to setup the slideshow folder to the default one (Pictures) for both Screensaver and Lockscreen.

It actually worked for Screensaver, but nothing changed Lockscreen-side.

After further tests, I came to the conclusion that Lockscreen and Screensaver's slideshow were somehows "connected", disabling each other upon activation.

Is this a bug, or is there any reasons to this?

I actually wanted to have both enabled at once, since I really enjoy the slideshow feature.

I using Windows 10 Pro 64-bits with latest update (build 10240) at the time of writing.

EDIT: For the problem of Lockscreen's slideshow not working, Statici's answer
on this thread worked.

But I still can't enable both Lockscreen slideshow and Screensaver slideshow at the same time.

 

Screensaver slideshow does not display correctly whith dual monitors set to "extend desktop"

Hi Tom,

Since you've already checked the Screen Saver Settings, kindly answer the following question for clarification:

• Have you tried turning off the second monitor while assigning the screensaver slideshow to the primary monitor?
• Have you tried disabling and re-enabling the screensaver?
  

We also suggest that you make the screensaver slideshow to appear first at the primary monitor properly before troubleshooting with the second monitor.
