    So I recently used this debloating script called "Sophia Script", and I tried installing Parsec and got this error when running the installer. I tried googling this, and followed this guide which had me go into the registry, but the value the guide had mentioned that I should change wasn't there. Do any of you have any idea what could be going on here? I'm thinking the strings inside the registry key could ahve been deleted, but I'm not super sure. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like currently:

    • Which build, version and edition of Windows is installed on your computer?
    • Does the message appear when you are launching a specific application?
    • What changes were made to the device before this issue happened?

    enable windows script host

    Hi Edge,

    Please follow this guideline:

    Press Start Button, type cmd, in the list, right-click Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'

    In the Command Prompt window, copy-paste this command:

    reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings" /v Enabled /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

    Click ENTER

    Close the command window when the command completes and re-start your PC.

    Write me back if it works or not.
