Windows 10: Windows search and individual program windows getting unselected

Discus and support Windows search and individual program windows getting unselected in Cortana to solve the problem; Usually, we press Win + s to use windows search.     Windows search and individual program windows getting unselected


    Usually, we press Win + s to use windows search. But when i press Win + s key the windows search menu is popup and getting unselected. I couldn't type in the search box right away as i could do before. instead, i have to press Win + s twice to make the search box active. The pic below is when i press Win + s one time showing the search box inactive which should work usually And it also happening with individual program windows. when i hover over the taskbar and click on the program i wanted to use, the program is opening but getting unselected right away.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
