Windows 10: windows search bar task bar and menu wont work

I need help the taskbar search bar and menu wont work so i basically cant do anything even the windows key + r dont work already tried restarting windows explorer and ending its task on task manager but it just didnt worki can open the apps but i cant interact with my internet or change the time on my computer basically all the side buttons are broken too

Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?

 

search does not work in task bar. DOES work in File Explorer

Task bar search does not work and I have tried all of the recommended steps. Had to recently reinstall Windows 10 64b (preserved personal data) and the search has not worked since.

Suggestions? Recommendations?

Cortana and Search Bar on Windows 10 Task Bar

I have recently – two weeks ago – upgraded to Windows 10.
Everything worked well and the last week I lost the Search bar on my Task Bar.
I have attempted to fix it through the suggestions offered on line.
I cannot get past the first Step because the Menu of items I receive by Right clicking on the Task Bar is very different from the one in the example.



In the example I am supposed to get



Toolbars;

Cortana; - Show search Box


Show Task View

Show Windows Ink Workspace Button etc. etc down to

Task Bar Settings

From Cortana I am to select Show search Box




However, the Menu I get by Right clicking in the Task Bar is:



Show app icons;

Automatically hide the task bar;

Show people on the Taskbar

Show all notifications icons;

Show Windows Ink Workspace Button etc.

Etc. down to Show Language Switch

I have also tried to fix the problem by Showing Small (and Large) Icons, without any joy.
