Windows 10: Windows Search Box changes

I just released that very recently the search box in windows 10 has been changed. No longer can you type commands such as kind:### where ### represents a file type i.e programs, documents, images etc in order to only return the specifically chosen ### file type as the search results .....


Is there anyway to fix this? And bring back the old functionality ?

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if are able to find search box.

• 
  Right click on the task bar.
  
• 
  Go to Cortana.
  
• 
  Click on show search box.
  

Now check if you are able to find search box.

That search box uses your default search provider. Are you generally unhappy with that search provider? Have you tried others?
