Windows 10: Windows Search Highlights option is greyed out

PC ConfigurationLenovo Legion Y740, Model: 81UJ0001US, Windows 11 Home 22H2 Build 22623.1325. Enrolled into Insider Beta channel.I'm the admin and only person on this PC.IssueIt's been a long time since Search Highlights had been in testing / rolled out to large number of people. But on my machine, it is still not available. When I go to Windos Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Search Permissions, I see "Show Search Hightlights" option is disabled and greyed out. So, I can't enable it at all. And my search UI is stuck with the old UI.Looks like the new "Bing Chat in Search" also re

Search Highlight !

Good morning, I downloaded the optional update KB5011543 today, I was hoping to get the "Search Highlight" feature in my search box but can't see anything ! I think the update came with various fixes but no sign of the Search highlights !! I have right clicked on the taskbar and checked search but nothing suggested ! Do I have to turn it on somewhere ?

How to turn off Search Highlights in Windows 10

• Right-click the search bar.
  
• Scroll up to the nested menu under 'Search'.
  
• Untick the option called 'Show Search Highlights'.
  

 

No more "Search" on highlighted text?

I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused. There is no option to search on the highlighted text in Microsoft Edge. I would suggest you to use Internet Explorer so that you can use the search option on the highlighted text.
