Windows 10: Windows search issue.

Anyone has any ideea why the search doesn't find 'windows update' / 'check for updates' ? Other searches work , but this isn't , on my other pc's "check for updates" works . Posted pics with working 'add or remove' too .

I'm having an issue on Windows Search (Windows 10) and Outlook2013:

Every search I do is empty and I tried all the possible ways: rebuilt the index from Scratch - checked the registry keys and so on, virified the system integrity with SFC /SCANNOW - Windows Search Trouble shooter - Office Reapair Installation !

I keep getting the event error:

Event ID 3083 - The protocol handler Mapi15 cannot be loaded. Error description: (HRESULT : 0x80004005).

The issue seems to be related to Windows rather than Office, but I am not sure: I tried with another profile and it's tha same !

What else ? It had preinstalled Office 365 (it is a Surface) and we removed it and installed office 2013.

What else can I do ?

Windows Search Issues

I realized that the issue was tue to an Update - (anyway it was too late because I have had resintalled the whole office !!)

 

We are many that have seen a broken search. An index rebuild did it for me (for now). Control panel > indexing options

 

Tried rebuild , didn't work .

 

Yeah, search has been pretty all over the place for me as well. A few rebuilds of the index later and it's somewhat usable, but still having issues with Search finding specific settings or apps.
