Windows 10: Windows Search showing uninstalled apps

so my windows 10 pc is showing apps in search that are uninstalled. I uninstalled the app below but it still shows it in my search. when I click it it doesnt open. Any fix for this? I have tried restarting the search service but that didn't work. I feel like what will fix this is fixing EVERYTHING related with windows search including in registry.

So, I installed Classic Shell. The unwanted/uninstalled apps do not show up under the All Programs list, nor do they show up when searching by their name.

Exiting back to the regular Start Menu shows the same erratic behaviour.

Step 1: Place the Computer in clean boot state and checkUninstalling the app
from the Windows Store.To disable all non-Microsoft services consult the article called Clean Boot.

open the Windows store and search for the app and Uninstall.

• Press Start and type Windows store.
• Search for the app which you want to uninstall.
• Select Uninstall and check if the app is uninstalled.

Certain apps don't show in search results

Some of my applications don't show in search results when I search for them.

E.g. Visual Studio, it shows only a local directory named "Visual Studio 2017" but it doensn't show the application itself.

Some other applications are listed as wrong version (already uninstalled), and some others dont't show at all (e.g. Putty)

I've already rebuilt the index and ran sfc /scannow several times, and got shortcuts for the apps in both

• %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

and

• %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

I'm running Windows 10 Pro Version 1607 (Build 14393.1358)

Any suggestions?
