Windows 10: Windows Search WSearch and WaaSMedicSvc show the error <Failed to Read Description. Error...

I’m experiencing an issue where search indexing is not working on my computer. In the Services panel, both WSearch Windows Search and WaaSMedicSvc display the error <Failed to Read Description. Error Code: 2>. Attempts to repair this, including running sfc /scannow in normal and Safe Mode, have failed. I need assistance in resolving this problem.

WaasMedicSvc description reads " failed to read description" error 2

Before any change, the entry read '@WaaSMedicSvcImpl.dll,-101'

This gave the error #2 with failed to show description.

I did try to change it to @WaaSMedicSvc.dll,-101 as in your photo,

and now the error was error #1500, same failed to show description.

I then just added my own text string and it showed my text string.

I feel it is not pulling the string from the DLL somehow but not sure why.

Scannow and all the dism commands return no issues.

Does it need a full path maybe or perhaps some update caused this?

I also notice WassMedicSvcImpl.dll is located in several folders in the Windows folder.
