Windows Security App on Windows 10 wont open for access. Comes up with "X windowsdefender: File system error -2147219196" . Can anyone help out to reinstated Windows Security App. Thanks.

Windows Security error message "You'll need a new app to open this windowsdefender link"

Hello,

I've just gotten a brand new Acer laptop running Windows 10 Home (OS Build 18362.267), and I'm getting the error message "You'll need a new app to open this windowsdefender link" when I try to click on any options in the Windows Security page in Settings
(Open Windows Security, Virus & threat protection, Account protection, etc.). It gives me the option to look for an app in the Microsoft Store, but there's no app listed when I do that.

Any idea how to fix this?

 

Windows Defender wont open!

My OS is Windows 11 Home, Version 21H2

When I click on "Settings>Privacy & security>Windows Security>Open Windows Security" It won't open and prompts a dialogue box "You'll need a new app to open windowsdefender link" and suggests looking for an app in Microsoft store. But Microsoft store says no app found for "windowsdefender"

the words windows and defender are written as a single word.

And the same happens If I click on any of the 7 links in the list on the left side. Pl help, thanks
